Living manna
John 6: 47-48
Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me has everlasting life.
I am the bread of life.
Eternity
Can we even comprehend what it means?
For time to be stretched to never end
Or to not exist at all
For life to not be defined by clocks, watches
Or watchers on the wall
This life is short
And yet we plan it meticulously
A job, a partner, a life that could be
At any moment
Dissolved into empty space
Ending up in spiritual court
Have you prepared your case?
Every mistake we made
Has already been paid
We have free will to reject or accept His gift
So simplified
That the only thing standing in our way
Could be our pride
Have you seen the proof surrounding Jesus’ life, death and resurrection?
The Case for Christ so undeniable
That not believing is a greater leap of faith
For everything is ultimately a belief, even atheism
Does the thought of eternal damnation paralyze you
To the point that you don’t dare to even pay the slightest attention?
But what a risk to take
When His perfect love casts out all fear
And your name written in the palm of His hand
The promise of eternal Heaven is yours
When you draw near
But the age of Grace is almost up
It is time for a great shaking
For there are many who need fear
To see the truth of Him
To surrender and awaken
Ask Jesus earnestly
“Reveal yourself if you are real, to me”
And He will
Have you asked wholeheartedly?
It’s easy to do
If you don’t believe He exists
Then what is keeping you?
If I’m wrong
I would have “wasted” my life surrendering to a force
That exposes every thought, word and action
Coming from a negative source
Growing continuously
Into a better version of me
Committing myself to the One
Who even in my greatest error judged me worthy
To go through intense agony
His presence brings me tears of joy
When the Holy Spirit touches me
For in His presence sin can not be
Pain, regret, shame,
Guilt, fear and all that holds us down
Flees instantly
And what if I’m right?
Are you willing to take that chance?
To gamble with Eternity?
To spend a time far greater than what we have here
In suffering and fear?
For rejecting Him means choosing to be separate
From all that is love, joy and peace
For He IS Love, the Maker of Joy, the Prince of Peace
The reason we experience it today
Is because He’s sending His blessings our way
God is Love
The only thing required is humility
To know there is something
Someone
Greater than me
Every drop of blood He shed
He died for you alone
And eagerly awaits the moment
He can welcome you home
Jesus is standing right outside the door of your heart
Right here
Right now
Although He is worthy
He will never use even the appearance of force or manipulation
Like the true gentleman He is
Waiting patiently
